Sustainable energy services for the built environment
We are an independent sustainable energy consultancy providing services across the UK and abroad for both new-build and existing stock. We are acknowledged experts in existing building retrofit, and have a particular expertise in the sustainable, low-energy refurbishment of traditional and historic buildings.
Our services cover all aspects of low-energy buildings, and include energy & sustainability statements for planning; building appraisals & low-energy refurbishment strategies; technical modelling for compliance & design (PHPP; SAP; RdSAP; BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment; U- and Psi-value calculations; 2D thermal bridge analysis & hygrothermal moisture assessment); design review & technical guidance; energy, CO2 and financial analysis; research and teaching. Our approach is grounded in reality: we provide practical, realistic solutions to enable meaningful upgrades in existing, occupied, hard-to-treat buildings as well as new-build – addressing economic, environmental and social sustainability.
Our bespoke approach enables us to tailor our approach to suit individual client needs. We work on projects at all scales, and provide services to a range of public and private clients including architects, developers, government bodies, local authorities, national & international conservation agencies, academic institutions and private clients.
With close links to the Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance (STBA), we are able to work in partnership with some of the leading bodies in UK traditional building retrofit.
